I was just wondering if anybody has a good formula for the depreciation of an aircraft.

I can't come up with one that works for all aircraft at the moment.

This one is a possibility:

Im a tad confused why this is needed - a free and open second hand market will place its own value on products for sale.

He has a point, for used aircrafts people are going to place them lower than the new aircrafts so that someone would buy them.

My ideas for selling:
Unlimited planes for the Worldwide Aircraft Trade and Leasing LLC. (like the broker just makes it more interesting).
Planes that you sell yourself can be adjusted at any price you want.

Wait a second now i guess i understandTongue[hr]http://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/logarithm.faq.question.404453.html
I guess the point is, that over time your aircraft is going to lose value.
No need to complicate it. Just give a number of useful hours to each plane and go discounting some value until the counter reaches zero.
That works into depreation:

If I have a 2014 BMW X5 and I drive it 75,000 miles in the first year for 3 years the car is going to lose value quicker than if I would have drove it 15,000 miles for 3 years. See what I mean
It's been a while but I feel like this thread never really came up with an answer.

Yes that's totally correct - and I'm sure the same things happen to aircraft. However what I'm saying is that the value of your car is the amount that someone else (the market) is prepaid to receive it. Simply have a box on which to place a price in is what I think would work well. You should look on the market to see who else has an aircraft of your type for sale and set your prices based on that.
I am sort of unsure now...perhaps in testing we could have a week of one and a week of another.
That does though involve building two systems.
