Nations we recognise?

Again a quick flick through my encyclopedia shows that it remains neutral on the issue. The word "country" is never used to describes Taiwan however it is never claimed to be owned by mainland China. The best way you can see these differances across the world is by going here http://opennews.kzhu.io/map-disputes/ to see how Google deals with these problems. Lastly, with regard to naming your self, most people round here consider themselves Yorkshiremen, however Yorkshire makes no serious claims to be a country and are by no reasonable definition are we a country - again though this goes back to the point that culture doesn't define country's. Other countries define countries. It is that fact that makes me reluctant to support the addition of Taiwan as a county for the purpose of this game because most countries do not consider Taiwan to be a country.
Many governments (but not all, such as Costa Rica, Honduras, and Vatican city) do that because they want to keep trade relations with Mainland China (which has a larger market.) But generally, people (such as everyday Americans) consider them to be different countries. Communist China does not control Taiwan-it tried to conquer it with fishing boats at Kuningtow(yes, fishing boats-see here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Kuningtou),but failed in the 1950s and were routed. Everyone laughed them off as a bunch of idiots. The same [belief] is shared by everyday people in Mainland China and in Taiwan, because they ARE not the same. I have never seen Communist flags in Taiwan, nor heard of a Communist party there. When we sing the national anthem, it is to swear allegiance to the three principles of the people-democracy, nationalism, and welfare to all citizens-rights unavailable in Mainland China due to its fascist-leaning dictatorship, which loves to ferment hate against Japan and the UK in order to distract its citizens from internal problems such as poor infrastructure/increased levels of corruption under "President" Hsi. Anyways, Yorkshire is NOT Taiwan. If you said Taiwan's a part of China to ordinary people in Taiwan, America, or Mainland China, you'd be laughed at.

Did I mention the fact that Mainland Chinese people eat dog and frog meat? It may sound racist to you, but it's sadly true. http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-33283694
