I was just wondering if anybody has a good formula for the depreciation of an aircraft.
I can't come up with one that works for all aircraft at the moment.

I guess the point is, that over time your aircraft is going to lose value.

No need to complicate it. Just give a number of useful hours to each plane and go discounting some value until the counter reaches zero.

That works into depreation:
If I have a 2014 BMW X5 and I drive it 75,000 miles in the first year for 3 years the car is going to lose value quicker than if I would have drove it 15,000 miles for 3 years. See what I mean

I am sort of unsure now...perhaps in testing we could have a week of one and a week of another.

That does though involve building two systems.
