That looks good based on the data you have placed above, I was trying to just double check how it would look for small airports (2,000 daily for DSA for example) and cannot interpret your formula the way I think you meant it. I interpret it as y=10+(0.0000005a/(b-sqrt(b))) however this final division creates a number so small the final answer may as well be 10. Can you just please clarify what you mean by the "|" symbol? (though it was a "/" but clearly not the case).
Also apologies, hadn't noticed the previous equation was per day and not per year. I still though feel that it is too high.

The vertical bar is absolute value, to exclude negative values.
So really it is: y=10+0.0000005a * |b-sqrt(b)|

And then should an airline have to pay a one-time fee to get to use an airport?

Ahh, we usually use abs() here so I hadn't come across this. Just to problems I can come up with;
1. If an airliner has 1 seat (obviously quite easy to just make sure none of them have this) then the size of airport has no effect.
2. I feel that for airports with low passenger numbers then the size of the aircraft has a to smaller effect, again as an example take Doncaster (2,000 per day).
This size airport has 10.634 per seat cost for a 660 seat airlines (747) whereas only 10.025 per seat for a 30 seat airliner (330), I think this differeance should be bigger.
3. If an airport has no passengers, then the size of the aircraft has no effect.

Also should we use real world passenger information or ingame information.

1) Who would fly a plane with 1 seat?
2) Ok, I see.
3) Then the $10 minimum stays.

1. Because it's there, if there is an option to bye one someone will. Possibly also if they realise that it means they can land at very big airports very cheaply they might decide I is cheaper to have thousands of flights then 2/3.

3. Yes I suppose that's fine because it's a per seat cost, an smaller plane would still be cheaper the a bigger one. Don't know what I'm thinking.

So how about gate rental prices?

How does $10 per seat sound. Also would it be possible (or wanted) to have the option to use remote stands (for a smaller fee).

I was thinking of a flat-rate for each airport....

And, perhaps I could do something like that later on, and then the jetbridge/airstairs choice could have something to do with airline reputation.

Well $500 came up on some random internet forum. Could start with that, as im sure you know though dbd the trick with these things is to make them as changeable as possible.
